Growing up with my Grandad

Created by Brad 3 years ago

So many good times and funny memories of our time spent together over the years. Was so lucky to have wonderful Grandparents that would do anything for me at any time. Days out with Nan and Grandad were always good fun. When it was just me and Grandad it was like we were both let loose for the day and got up to all sorts. I'll never forget when he let me drive the 4 x 4 off-roading at Alfoxton park when I was young.

He used to take me horse riding every saturday from a really young age. Grandad was a really good Jockey and we had some great fun on the hills.

Grandad just wanted to be one of the lads, when he took me and a mate to different places when we were young he always made us laugh so much. One time at Dunster show we were leaving and a man in the car park said sorry you can't go this way, to which Grandad said what the **** you on about! We've roped this bit of now he replied. Grandad was like well what a you ****ing stupid, watch this! He drove straight through the rope and had cones and stuff everywhere was so funny we were all crying with laughter. Then for good measure made for he knocked a few police cones over on the main too!

Later on in life when I was old enough to drive we went to a couple of Motocross Grand Prix together.  Throughout his life Grandad always loved racing, whether it was horses, motorbikes or cars he'd be into it! He was an avid supporter of my racing and often came with us to the the races.

He was also a big football supporter, from playing in his younger days for Nether Stowey. Used to go and Wolves back in the day. In these later years took great pleasure from the struggles of Man Utd.

I could go on and on,

Thank you so much,

I love you Grandad YNWA xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
